Lが近所の雑貨屋さんで吊り下がっていた竹編みの買い物かごを買ってきた。竹を燻したような香りが立ちこめる。昭和の主婦のように白い割烹着は着てないけど、かごを振りかざし勇んで野菜市場にでかけるとある日曜日。
L found a woven bamboo bag, hung up in the nearby hardware shop. It smells of smoky bamboo. The necessary items for housewives of 30-50s in Japan are a bag of made of woven wisteria branches and a white apron. I do not wear a white apron but with the bag I stride off to the Sunday veggie market.
